SOLiD Sequencer

The Applied Biosystems SOLiD™ 4.0 System is a highly accurate next-generation sequencing platform. The sequencing methodology is based on sequential ligation with dye-labeled oligonucleotides. The ultra high throughput, coupled with broad application flexibility, provides a unique system with greater than 99.94% basecalling accuracy. This is due to the robust ligation-based sequencing chemistry with the 2 Base Encoding system. 2 Base Encoding enables unique error checking capability, providing higher confidence in each call.
