The microarray-based screening process yields lists of candidate genes or biomarker miRNAs that, to effectively conclude the biomarker research process, are required to undergo experimental validation. Data generated during the microarray experiments are screened, and a list of the most significantly deregulated miRNAs or genes reveals candidates for a disease-specific biomarker signature that need to be verified using qRT-PCR. As an authorized ABI TaqMan service provider, febit offers these biomarker validation experiments to ensure a complete study set-up. Once the validity of the selected biomarkers is verified, febit’s bioinformatics service takes over to perform statistical analysis of the findings.
