New HybSelect Publication - Enhance your miRNA profiling

Dear Scientist,

Welcome to febit’s first newsletter in 2009. This issue contains exciting news about the latest developments of the Geniom® RT Analyzer and its applications.

On sequence capture: febit’s HybSelect technology for targeted resequencing on next generation sequencing platforms has achieved an excellent performance during its early access phase. First results are published in Analytical Bioanalytical Chemistry.
Visit our webinar "The Power to Detect - HybSelect for Targeted Sequence Capture" to learn more about HybSelect.

On RNA analysis: Starting February the 5th, febit’s new miRNA labeling technique (MPEA) will be offered as part of Analytical Services and as a protocol for Geniom RT Analyzer users. This technology increases specifity and sensitivity of miRNA profiling experiments.

Finally febit likes to invite you to attend a guest lecture on non-coding RNA in human evolution on March the 12th held by John Mattick (PhD) at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).

Sincerely,

Peer Staehler

Webinar: The Power to Detect -
HybSelect for Targeted Sequence Capture

The proliferation of Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS) platforms has increased DNA sequencing throughput by orders of magnitude, however, it still takes months and several hundreds of thousands of dollars to finish a typical mammalian-sized genome at a reasonable depth of coverage. Integrated HybSelect automation allows walk-away convenience and only requires 30 minutes of hands-on time, offering the simplest targeted sequence capture method available.
