Beyond miRNAs - ncRNAs analysis on flexible biochips
HybSelect early access - Collaboration with In-Q-Tel

Dear Scientist,

2008 has been a very exciting year for febit as the Geniom® Technology gained strong recognition by large research and governmental institutions, including TGen, In-Q-Tel and DKFZ.

The unique level of automation provided by the Geniom RT Analyzer, rapid development of new Biochip content, supporting bioinformatics and Analytical Services, and a growing range of applications, led to an increasing demand for febit’s Geniom Technology.

A new microarray based procedure has been developed for capturing genomic regions of interest (HybSelect™) to enable targeted Next Generation Sequencing applications (tNGS). Discover early access opportunities to HybSelect on our website.

During the course of the year, a large number of new Catalog Biochips was generated for the analysis of miRNA and mRNA in many different organisms. You can download febit’s latest catalog on our new website where we keep you up to date on the anticipated launch of several new products in 2009.

Best Wishes,

Dr. Mirko Vanetti

Approximately every 3-4 months a new release of the miRBase becomes available, so analysis tools need to be flexible to incorporate these changes. In addition, there is more than just miRNAs in the field of non-coding RNAs, which are not yet covered by high-throughput technology at the moment.
